Homecoming
Home sweet home. Where the air is fresh, the trees are green, and the routines and personnel are highly trained and accustomed to the Way of the Rugrat Raising Warrior.
Me and the kidlings had some fun in Tucson, saw some cactus, swam, and enjoyed the sweet grandparent love connection, but oy with the delayed flight and the unfriendly co-passengers who wouldn’t switch seats so a mama could sit by her babies. Die die venomous swine!!
Here are the twinklies next to a huge lovely cactus.
And in case my feelings on the matter aren’t patently obvious, here is: Why Older Children Rule at Imperfect Parent

Cute! Looks like the desert is in bloom? My shots of that same area a month ago have much less color.

February 22nd, 2008 at 3:15 pmSomeone wouldn’t switch seats so a MOTHER could sit with her children?
What an arse.
But I’m glad you enjoyed your trip.
February 22nd, 2008 at 7:03 pmAre you kidding me? Too bad cans of Whoop Ass aren’t allowed on planes anymore.
Good thing Karma is.
Might take her awhile, jet lag and all, but I’m sure she’ll catch up to them.
February 25th, 2008 at 1:39 amOlder children are the reason I had children. To this day, people under 3 don’t much interest me. Mine sure didn’t. Flash forward to a couple of weeks ago while my 11 year old son and I watched the caucus returns coming in on TV together (Super Tuesday). Or sharing ice cream before a show at the Guthrie with my actor/daughter. What was the romance about chasing that 18 month old across the living room floor? Hard to comprehend, really.
February 25th, 2008 at 2:43 pmOutchy Momma, that is one big cactus!
February 26th, 2008 at 9:06 amGlad you had a good vacation with the kids!
Can not believe that guy…
Any consolation, his luggage in which he put his car and house keys will be lost… It will be sent somewhere far, far away… and he will have no way of getting into his home or car…
Serves him right…
